Born in the USSR and raised in Estonia, Darja Filippova is an artist and scholar pursuing a PhD in
Comparative Literature at Princeton University. Working comparative between Russian and
Chinese contexts, her academic research examines post-socialist performance. She hold degrees from
Smith College (BA), The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MA) and Central European
University, Budapest (MA).
